A New Chapter – Creating Space for Hope

A children’s home, supported by Child of Mine since 2008, was established in 1989 on the grounds of an abandoned leprosy hospital in remote Northern India. The walls of these buildings were originally constructed with cow dung and mud plaster. Through the generosity of many people around the world, we have been able to repair and improve many of these buildings.  However, the boys continue to live in some of the original buildings. Child of Mine has been dreaming with the staff and children for 10 years about building a new dorm for the boys. We are excited to announce that through the tremendous support of many partners this project is now underway!

Boys Dorm Financial Progress

So far we have raised over $285,000 which is nearly half the estimated funds required to complete the project. This has been achieved through increased awareness and several specific fundraising efforts. Thank you to each and every one who has supported us so generously.

But we have a long way to go. In order to raise the remaining dollars we will continue to promote and fundraise for the project. One upcoming opportunity is supporting a runner from Team Child of Mine in the Bank of Montreal (BMO) run happening on May 5th in Vancouver. The runners will train for and participate in a full marathon, marathon relay, half marathon or an 8k race. If you’d like to join Team Child of Mine as a runner, contact …. If you’d like to support the team, and ultimately the construction project, please click here

Please consider donating today to be part of building a safe place where the small boys can grow in faith, hope and love.!
